Day D

From the Main Office:

• Hey everyone, there are still some yearbooks left!  But, don’t delay ordering yours.  Pop by the main office to place your order or to find out more.

Annie Musical:

• Tickets for the Annie matinee show will be on sale this week on the pad. There are a limited number of tickets, so don't delay.

Athletics:

• Over the weekend, our Ringette team played in their final tournament of the season.

  Lockview proved to be worthy opponents to our Millwood Knights. In the last 2 minutes of the game, we pulled Nick for an extra player in the zone and it worked, we Tied the game4-4 with 50 seconds left.

  In our second game, Millwood pulled off an impressive win against Cole Harbour/ Islandview. They were no competition for Millwood Knights’ Nick Dawson. Congrats to Nick for the 6-0 shutout.

  CPA came out as strong as the knights were in game 3. The game was a lot of back and forth scoring and penalties, but in the end the knights got back on the horse and took the reins for a 6-4 final.

  As we advanced in the tournament, we had to face the Lockview dragons for the second time. There was a lot of back and forth again, which brought us to overtime. While feeling like we were taking on the dragons and the refs, we over came all the penalties and Julia scored the winning goal while we were short 2 players on a 5-3.

  In the Semi finals, after facing a 4-1 start against Auburn in the first half, our Millwood knights came back and tied it up with one minute left. We came out strong but unfortunately Auburn scored in overtime with 1 min 23 secs to spare.

  Congrats to our Millwood Knights Ringette Team! They fought hard with every penalty and every goal. They were there in body and spirit!
  Special congrats to Nick who fought hard and had way more saves than goals against. Of the 24 goals we scored:
  Lydia had 8

  Quinn had 4
  Callie had 2
  Emily had 1
  Luka had 1
  Way to go Millwood Knights Ringette team!
